Resources & Screening Guidelines

Early detection of cancer is one of the most important steps you can take in the fight against cancer. The earlier breast cancer is detected, the better chance for a cure. Routine breast cancer screening should include a combination of breast self-examination, clinical breast examination by a physician, and digital or conventional mammography.

Below are general guidelines. If you have a family history of breast cancer or other factors that put you at high risk, then your doctor will personalize these tests to fit your specific needs.
