Folsom Fall Campaign

Supporting Methodist Health System Nurses

ABOUT THE 2020 ROBERT S. FOLSOM LEADERSHIP AWARD
The Robert S. Folsom Leadership Award was established in 2005 by Methodist Health System Foundation to recognize individuals whose commitment and excellence in community leadership emulate the achievements of Robert S. Folsom. Recipients of this award are selected for their accomplishments in making a lasting, positive change in the Dallas community while inspiring others to follow in their paths. Each year, the award recipient is honored at a celebration, the proceeds of which support an initiative of Methodist Health System to improve and save lives through compassionate, quality healthcare.

The 2020 Folsom Award celebration has been cancelled due to health and safety concerns surrounding COVID-19. However, in times of uncertainty, it is vital to keep the spirit of this award alive. The 2020 Folsom Award will instead be acknowledged through a fundraising campaign. The proceeds of this effort will celebrate the outstanding nurses and frontline caregivers of Methodist Health System. As has been widely recognized in recent months, these healthcare workers truly embody Bob Folsom’s commitment to serving others and have stepped up beyond the call of duty to keep all of us safe and well.

Your gifts can help support the dedicated healthcare professionals of Methodist and thank them for their meaningful work. Gifts toward the 2020 Folsom Fall Campaign will support the outstanding culture of nursing at Methodist through efforts such as providing childcare, investing in physical and emotional well-being, and enabling nurses to achieve educational success. For several entry-level employees of Methodist, especially those from underserved local communities, this educational support provides a key path to a more economically stable and bright future for them and their families.

We hope you will continue to support Methodist Foundation by participating in the 2020 Folsom Fall Campaign.
